The Consulate General monitors and reports on political, economic and social developments in Vietnam, with a particular focus on the fast growing tourism sector. The promotion of trade and cultural exchanges between San Marino and Vietnam and the promotion of San Marino are the main activities of the Consulate General.

The Republic of San Marino, inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO and recognized as the oldest Republic in the world, is a hidden jewel in Europe which is increasingly attracting the attention of Vietnamese international travelers. Due to this growing popularity, the Consulate General has launched a program to distribute tourist information to local tour operators
